In most of the markets we cover, yes — either now or within a few years. A number still exempt battery EVs entirely, and several are part-way through phasing the exemption out. That is exactly why each country carries a confidence rating rather than a blanket claim.
02 How is EV road tax calculated?
It depends on the country. The structures we model are exemption, flat annual fee, motor power bands in kW, vehicle value bands, kerb weight bands, CO2 bands, regional fees set by state or province, and distance-based road user charges.
03 Why do you ask for different details per country?
Because the tax really is calculated from different things. Malaysia uses motor power in kW. Germany uses kerb weight. The UK uses list price. Requesting anything else would be decoration.
04 How accurate are these figures?
Each country is labelled and linked to its official source. Where a rate varies by region or is mid-transition we return a range, so the site never implies precision it does not have.
05 What if I get a different figure from my authority?
Road tax depends on details a calculator cannot see — options fitted, homologated power, local reliefs. Treat our number as the well-sourced starting point it is, and tell us if a source has changed so we can correct the dataset.
06 Can I get help installing a home charger?
